| Other Info | I feel particularly honoured to be involved in this special event: The "Help Carla" Gala is a benefit concert for renowned flautist and supporter of new music Carla Rees, who suffered badly as a result of the London riots (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/14/flautist-carla-rees-croydon-riot). Most people involved in new music in London and beyond will know Carla, and how much she's done for us. Now it's our turn! This gala concert will feature music composed and / or performed by people who have worked with or been generally inspired by Carla in the past. There will be new music, of course, and also music from the past including some well-known favourites... All proceeds will go to Carla to help her rebuild everything. |
