Other Info | Last year, I had the pleasure of serving on the jury for the British Harpsichord Society's Composition Competition, judging hundreds of compositions for harpsichord sent from young composers all over the world. Finals Showcase Concert of the British Harpsichord Society's International Composition Competition No less than eight harpsichordists perform the prize winners' and other shortlisted works from the 2012 Competition, held to commemorate the Society's Tenth Anniversary, and the first of its kind in the UK. This concert event is the culmination of an initiative which drew over ninety pieces from 18 countries. It is sure to enlighten the audience by illuminating the harpsichord as a truly contemporary instrument through a highly diverse range of pieces. The concert is also held in memorium for Stephen Dodgson whose harpsichord music is represented in the programme.
